Inspired by the Upanishads Series

My series, "Inspired by the Upanishads," was based upon my favorite excerpts from the book Upanishads --the best-selling translation of the ancient wisdom texts by the author, Ekanath Easwaran.
The Upanishads are the sage's wisdom and spiritual teachings exploring the consciousness -- the Self, looking inward.
Cycle of Life
Our life is a cycle of the repertoire of thoughts and actions that brings us pain and pleasure, happiness and sorrow, and is a journey of finding the underlying truth (the Self) in us.
As a caterpillar, having come to the end of
one blade of grass, draws itself together and
reaches out for the next, so the Self, having
come to the end of one life and dispelled
all ignorance, gathers in his faculties and
reaches out from the old body to a new.
