My series, "Inspired by the Upanishads," was based upon my favorite excerpts from the book Upanishads --the best-selling translation of the ancient wisdom texts by the author, Ekanath Easwaran. 

The Upanishads are the sage's wisdom and spiritual teachings exploring the consciousness -- the Self, looking inward.

  • I enjoy the first sight of my clean kitchen as I walk down the stairs to brew my morning coffee. The aroma of coffee swirling around my kitchen brings me warmth and greets my day with a positive thought. It is a joy when our mornings begin with a purpose and a desire to drive the day. 

     

    You are what your deep, driving desire is.
